Pastor Jimmie Lee Bradford — Biography
Pastor Jimmie Lee Bradford’s life and ministry journey began on August 2, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. At a very young age, his family relocated to Stuttgart, Arkansas, where he spent his formative childhood years until the age of twelve. Following his mother’s remarriage, the family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was there that his mother experienced salvation and joined the Northside Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Carl Prather.
With a praying mother who faithfully sought God for the salvation of her household, the Lord answered her prayers — including the salvation of young Jimmie Lee Bradford. In 1976, at the age of nineteen, Pastor Bradford gave his life fully to Christ and soon thereafter received his call into the ministry. The following year, 1977, he was officially licensed in the Church of God in Christ. By 1980, he was ordained and began his pastoral work, leading his first congregation, New Life Church of God in Christ in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Years later, Pastor Bradford relocated to Syracuse, New York, where he united with the Bread of Life Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Theodore Montgomery. There he served faithfully as an Elder for seven years. During his time in Syracuse, he pursued theological education at Valley Forge Christian College in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
After completing his first year and years of dedicated service at Bread of Life COGIC, the Lord directed him to relocate to Dallas, Texas. There, he transferred to Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where he successfully earned his Bachelor of Arts degree.
After settling in Dallas, Pastor Bradford united with Abundant Life Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Dr. E. L. Battles and later Pastor Everett L. Jones. Following many years of faithful service as an Elder, the Lord called him to establish a new ministry work.
In 2010, Pastor Bradford founded Greater Glory Church of God in Christ, where he served diligently until that assignment was fulfilled. In God’s perfect timing, he met and married the wife of his dreams, District Missionary Lois Grove Wyches of Killeen, Texas.
Today, Pastor Jimmie Lee Bradford serves as Pastor of the Garden of Gethsemane Church of God in Christ, continuing to preach the Gospel, shepherd God’s people, and fulfill his divine calling with faithfulness and compassion.
